Neon Pink and Polka Dots

Well, Monday has made its appearance again. Doesn't it always come too soon? I hope all of you mothers out there had a wonderful Mother's Day! We had brunch at my grandparents' house to celebrate with the family. It was very nice. This weekend I also got to see one of my friends in a local community theatre production of Chicago the Musical, which was a lot of fun! Justin is home now from the lake house. He has been working so hard on the renovations and is very exhausted and sore. I am so lucky to have such a hard working husband. He works his regular job, teaches an accounting class at a local college one day a week on the side, and is now working on the renovations in his only spare time. I am pretty sure we are already over budget in certain areas, but are we at all surprised about that? I watch enough HGTV to know that that was inevitable at some point, hehe.

Anyway, today's outfit is kind of all over the place, but I love it. We are covering a few trends with the neon pink, and the pattern mixing of stripes and polka dots. I like that the pattern mixing is subtle, and the neon pink sweater and striped popover give it more of a preppy feel instead of a flashback to the 80's feel. Did I mention that I scored these polka dot skinny jeans on super sale at Old Navy for $8?! When you find a deal like that, don't you want to shout it from the roof tops? The only thing I didn't like about the Rockstar skinny jeans from Old Navy was that I had to size up a couple of sizes. That is just not good for the ego, but I got over it quickly for the price. $8 was definitely a steal! Check out the look below:

Get the Look:
Sweater: J.Crew (in neon azalea) | Top: J.Crew | Denim: Old Navy (similar at Gap
Shoes: Nine West | Bag: Target | Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Bracelet: Gigglosophy | Earrings: Kate Spade

Can we also talk about the Target cross body bags? I am obsessed! I started out with just the green, but now I have every color. I could not resist them when they went on clearance. Definitely check out your local store, because they are now as low as $13!

Don't you just love a good steal?
What has been your best find on clearance?

I have two of those bags - blue and yellow - they are perfect! You look great !! Come over to Charming Lucy today! I grabbed your button(: Blessings! Susan

  11. I love the layered pinks! This outfit reminds me a little bit of a mani I did last week, except it was with black and white polka dots instead.

  14. Love this outfit!! Pink & navy is probably my favorite color combo. So so cute! I have been wanting the pink stripe J Crew top, but have yet to get it... maybe this weekend...
Oh and I love the Target cross body bag. I want one, but my Target doesn't have them any more (along with the cute sparkley sandals everyone else has as well). We are going out of town this weekend and I plan on stopping at multiple Targets to search for these items! Have a great long weekend!
