I've been loving ankle strap heels since they started trending last year. I think it was the infamous, and now sold out, Zara Basic Sandal that got everyone's attention! Now, it seems as if every celebrity has jumped on the trend, and you rarely see one walk out the door without rocking a pair. Wide or thin strapped, bold colors, metallic neutrals (yes, metallics can be neutral), prints or hardware - there are so many options! The minimal detail has also made a major comeback for spring and summer! It is safe to say that ankle strap heels are one of the hottest trends in 2013.
I have not yet jumped on this trend, but it doesn't mean I am not lusting over it just the same. I am loving the wide straps in bold brights that accent a neutral shoe, and the feminine, minimalistic look of the thin strap sandals in solid colors like black, nude or metallic. Ankle strap heels are sexy, yet chic, and can be worn with cropped trousers, a skirt or a dress. A classic, minimal look can even be worn to work.
