It is no secret that I love coral. When The Limited had a "buy one, get one" blazers, pants and skirts event back in March, I snagged this coral blazer. It is a soft, ponte knit, which makes it very comfortable to wear. The style of it makes it wearable for work, for dinner and drinks or even just casually for running errands or shopping.
This month, I am doing the #closetremixchallenge on Instagram, or in other words, the no shopping challenge. I have done enough shopping lately that I need to take a break. For the entire month of May, I will not purchase one clothing or accessory item. And yes, that includes shoes. I know - crazy! Of course, Target just came out with the Sam & Libby line (tear), and there have already been sales galore to tempt me. It will be tough, but I think I can make it! It has been fun "shopping my closet" and challenging myself to create new outfits and find new ways to pair items. For instance, I typically would wear this blazer with a striped top underneath. I am mixing it up today by wearing it with all white, so the blazer is a nice pop of color. I also added a second, small pop of color with bright turquoise accessories. Coral and turquoise are one of my favorite color combinations (remember this post?), and the white denim, top and belt make an excellent canvas for them. Of course, I also threw a leopard clutch in there for fun! Check out how I am wearing the blazer today:
Get the Look:
Blazer - The Limited (color sold out; similar) | Lace Top - Ann Taylor (last year; similar with sleeves or similar at Target) | White Denim - Loft | Espadrille Wedges - Target (great "look for less" option to J.Crew | Watch - Kate Spade | Bracelets - J.Crew Factory (sold out; necklace version or similar here) and Kate Spade (loving the colorful versions, too) | Earrings - Target | Ring - Hello Fab | Clutch - The Limited | Belt - The Limited (sold out; similar on Zappos.com)
Coral, turquoise, lace, bows (x3) and leopard - so many of my favorite things!
I think this outfit remix is a winner! Have you ever "remixed" your closet?
